Let me start out by saying, I am new to the “creami” family. I have not previously owned the older version of this product, or attempted to make homemade ice cream ever before. As a complete newbie, I decided to order this machine as a way to make a healthier, high protein treat for myself and my son. I liked the idea of being able to control the ingredients going into our ice cream, minimize sugar, or even make something that is keto friendly. This machine did NOT disappoint! It’s pretty intimidating at first. The machine itself is pretty large (and heavy). It definitely won’t maintain a permanent spot on my countertop. I was so excited, I started prepping my first two batches of ice cream immediately! Despite a warning from my sister that it may take a few attempts and tweaks to the recipes to get the right consistency, I decided to go rogue and just throw stuff together with no recipe. The first was just a combination of my lemon protein powder, milk, and heavy cream, and it came out amazing! I had to respin it twice to get it into a nice velvety texture, but wow! Game changing protein! The process was super simple and I think the worst part about using this machine is the anticipation of waiting to freeze your ice cream overnight before you can start! I was concerned about cleanup with the soft serve option, but the ice cream does not go through the base of the machine at all. If you use it correctly and make sure your dispenser top is set to the open position when dispensing, there’s literally no mess, and barely any cleanup. Now, I messed up and tried to dispense ice cream with it in the closed position and that created a little bit of a mess. Overall though, from start to finish this was a super easy process, and my ice cream came out great! If you’re looking for a way to create your own healthy ice cream, or if you just want to get crazy with recipe ideas, this machine is awesome! It’s a bit pricey, but it works great and I can see myself getting lots of use

It is NOT Hard to Clean the Swirl Pints

I know a lot of people are hesitant to get the Swirl because they heard the Swirl pints are hard to clean. They really are not. The key is to switch it to the 'open' setting before washing. You can just spray water and soap through the star nozzle and into the pint itself and everything gets cleaned out just fine. It will also get perfectly clean in the dishwasher as well. I have had no issues cleaning it. I did not own a Creami before the Swirl. It was the soft serve function that really got me to buy the product as that is my favorite kind of ice cream. You also really cannot get sugar free soft serve anywhere so it was an easy decision for me. The machine does an excellent job making soft serve. I've had no issues or complaints. It is super fun for the whole family too.

So far all love! Easy to clean, once you figure out how to use it it isn't overwhelming. And the ice cream, sorbettos, Gelato all turn out great!!

Ninja Creami Soft Serve Requires Special Pint jars

Love this machine, especially the soft serve component! However! The standard pint jars for Ninja Creami DO NOT fit the machine with Soft Serve. Couldn't find the specialized pint jars on Amazon and had to order them directly from Ninja. Also, they cost more than the standard jars.

Hands down it’s #1!

Omgoodness this is the one! It truly makes delicious ice cream and swirls at that! Tried other makers but this is the winner hands down. Looks attractive on countertop and is about same size as an espresso machine. Easy to use and worth the wait… make everyday a special one

Love it!

This is gonna be huge in our household! We all loved the vanilla recipe that came with it. It functions great and easy to use. I mixed a triple berry soft serve seen in pics and it was probably the best tasting ice cream I've had! Only issue some will have is the noise.....it is loud when blending to make the soft serve and during dispensary. Hopefully, like the rest of our ninja products, it will be a great machine and last a long time.

If you don't buy this. It's definitely a must-have. Love that it churns ice cream quickly, but other than that, it's pretty good. Easy to clean/assemble

Bring on summer!

This machine is fantastic. Took a bit to figure out for me, but now it’s simple and so much fun. Definitely get extra pints and have some ready! The first use we had an ice cream party with the great grandparents and every one loved it, got to customize their ice creams, and now when my son sees me start up the machine, he calls up his grandparents and they come running. Definitely a really great tool to bring family and friends together. It can be loud but only for a few minutes, and you know what? It WORKS, unlike certain machines at the French fry place 😂
